That was the main problem I had with the unreal editor with ut2k3. I learned to how to get my models into the game with textures intact and the tools were just awesome. But when it came to optimizing the map there was no way I could get it to run any better. The more I worked on it the more the fps went down the sewer. So if they are putting out a tutorial on optimizing a level lots of good maps will probably be made.
