Okay, so I misplace my cd_key somewhere and bootleg one off the internet, however, I do have the original copy of SOF2  (for some apparent reason I have been refrain from playing multiplayer on the Internet).  Is there anyway that I can get a valid cd_key?  So that I can get back pumpin lead in ya butts (ooohhhh weee)!!!

I'd misplace the price of the game in trade for a receipt at the local game store and for some apperent reason walk out with a legit game and key. But then, that's just me. Some people like misplacing keys and asking for a new one online in an official forum to get stomped on by passers-by and moderators alike.. <shrugs>

If u lose ur key u have to buy it again, activision will not re-issue cd keys, U were warned (Quote from the sticker: "Don't Lose This Number! This CD Key is required to fully use this product.")

If you haven't uninstalled your original copy you can find your cd key in SoF2/base/mp in a file named "sof2key" without dashes and in lowercase.  Other than that, you be outta luck.

Misplaced??? HAHHAHHA!! Right. How do you lose the cd case it came in? the key is in the case an in BIG letters that say "DO NOT LOSE THIS KEY" heheh all I gotta say is DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Actually I know people that have legitimately bought copies and HAVE misplaced their keys.  They have retreived it by the preceding methods and it worked fine.  I wouldn't be the one laughing.

i bought delta force landwarrior, lent the game to a friend, and when it came back, the cd key sticker had been removed
