I have newly realized I can master the MP5 really well!

Earlier I was (and still am a little bit) confused with which weapon to use, M4 or Ak74..
But this MP5 has got the lowest recoil of them all and does as much damage as the M4 but with less recoil --> more accuracy. PLUS it is quiet as ####!

This weapon really rocks!

I find that it is hard to obtain a very good rapid fire and accuracy with anything but the AK74.  I can average about 30% accuracy on good days, according to OSP /stats in the console.  That and its power is hard to beat, MP5 seems rather weak.

the AK is definitely the easiest primary to use, as well as the most powerful.

 But the MP5 is highly effective in the right hands and much more fun to use IMHO.  
 I only use the AK when I'm sucking and need some cheap frags to improve my self-esteem.

 Getting used to killing better armed people with your MP5 makes you fairly deadly those times when you do grab an AK and meet them on an even footing.

 also, the mp5 is king of non-desert RMGs.

haha, same feelings here regarding the AK..  

rmg's are great fun for casual play! gives me a chance to practice with the pistols and knives w/o fellow teammates accosting me for not trying harder, like in inf. and dem.

well... not that i don't use them in those situations, but i feel bad if my team is falling behind and i am running around like boyscout trying to earn my pocket-knife badge.

here are the rankings:
bullet strength: 1. ak74, 2. m4/mp5
accuracy, first few shots: 1. m4, 2. ak74, 3. mp5
accuracy, held down: 1. mp5, 2. m4, 3. ak74 (not sure on this one, check the .wpn)
the range of the mp5 is limited as well, so it cant reach all the way to the other side of the map sometimes.

so the mp5 has, actually, the worst accuracy if you like short bursts. they seem to win in close combat when people hold down the trigger, though.

for me, its always lucky shots that kill whenever i use the mp5.

I only use the mp5 with the single fire mode... Saves bullets and is much more accurate...

in RMG CTF situations I also keep the mp5 on single shot- you burn through ammmo FAST with that baby.  and it's pretty accurate at range, sometimes I'll get thermal goggles, put it on single shot, and go sniper-hunting.

 as far as the 'hard numbers' on accuracy go, they don't feel that way to me (and actual in-game performance is what I go by, not game designer theory).  
 mp5 and colt feel about the same, accuracy wise, and frankly the first couple of bullets from the AK always seem to be on target.  It hits what I aim at even across the map, so whatever accuracy bonus the colt has doesn't really come into play.

 they boil down to:
  AK if you're serious about killin'.
  Colt if you need the grenades.
  mp5 if you like a challenge.

I used to always use the AK, but I find that it is too easy, and there is no longer any satisfaction out of killing with it.  Therefore, I have switched to the m60!  Its extremely unaccurate, especially at long range, but it does decent damage, and you don't need to worry about reloading (most of the time).  I do half way decent with the weapon... and its extremely fun, and fun is more improtant (unless your playing a serious game, where winning is all the matters, then I still use AK, but those games don't happen to much).

The mp5 is also fun... but not as much fun as the m60.  I'll agree with you that the AK is the best weapon and easiest to use... especially at long to medium distance.  Its just no longer fun to use...
