I keep crashing whilst 5-20 minutes into game. When it crashes it leaves the last sound repeating over and over until sof2mp.exe error comes. Also my fps is very low. Ive tried reinstalling( + deleting folder) ive tried everything been mentioned (wiser, directx etc..) but nothing seems to work! also pb_system 1 doesnt work. Alotof the time my computer restarts automatically !?  :s6: . hints on resolving these problems wold be appreciated. Its starting to annoy me now

Try updating Punkbuster using pbweb.exe... i also had a crash (similar to a few crashes i had some time ago). I ran pbweb.exe to be sure and indeed it did update something... after that i didn't crash anymore...  ???

Put pbweb.exe in your sof2 folder and run it, then wait.

If that doesn't work, set the Compatibility mode of sof2mp.exe to "Windows 98/ME", right-click sof2mp.exe and choose "Properties". And turn off Advanced text services(on the compatability tab). Last, close down any programs running in the background.

Do you put pbweb.exe in your /SoF2/ folder, or in your SoF2/pb/ folder?
I believe it's the latter.

Well, I'm not sure if Ravensoft is doing something about a problem that the majority of users have never experienced.

It could be any number of things on your end -
Mixed or bad RAM, motherboard-graphics card conflict, outdated graphics or sound drivers, corrupted SoF2 install, conflicts with another program (antivirus, firewall), overheating, damaged HD...etc.
