Best advice is to look at the other Crash posts some of them are similar to yours and try the fixes that were in them

i don't really think defrag could help sof... defrag is just to free up some space... and it only takes hours...

defragging re aranges the physical layout of files on the disk, so it should make the same file and related files contiguios,
so it can boost preformance, as if before u installed the game u deleted an old game then half of a pk3 file could be at the start of ur hard disk while the rest is at the end, so when reading that file it has to jump from the start of the disk to the end.

i degragged, updated directx, windows xp, sound drivers, graphics drivers. I also noticed when i start sof2 it says Files not found: pbsv.cfg and pbsvuser.cfg are these missing files causing the crashes??

I have the same as this .. but I get no sof2.exe error.
It happens when I take a screenshot at the end of a war usually, then I get put into spec .. its very annoying and can last up to a minute! Anyone know why that happens?

I'm having the same exact problem. Except I don't have the re-occurring sound problem. Maybe we can all list what we are using and figure out where the universal problem is. I'm using windows xp home p4 2.8 ghz ati radeon 9700 1 gig kingston ddr333 western digital caviar 80 gb hard drive sound blaster audigy gamer soyo dragon ultra motherboard Direct x 9.0 Only background app is sof2minimizer 1.03
