I was thinking of doing map of Auschwitz. Only problem is is that auschwits is HUGE!!! If it were possible, maybe some of us mppers here could team up and work on it together. Iv already done some of the research. I plan to get some airial views of Auschwitz for referencing.

I would like to see what kind of help i could get in doing this map.

Gametypes: DM, TDM, S&D, etc, etc
Teams: axis german, allies american

I will try to do the map by myself if i cant get any help-it would take forever- but help would be nice.

I got too many things going but sounds like an awesome idea.
If it has many buildings, the builders could create the individual buildings in small size maps, then email to the crew leader that is putting it all together. Of course you probably already knew you could do that. Some things would best be left out of these small map files with individual buildings in them, like fx, etc. Models carry over well.

I might be willing to help out a bit. If there are any certain kind of buildings or prefabs just email me and I will see what I can do. School is pretty crazy right now, but almost over. Once summer comes around I would love to help out as much as possible.

OK... i discussed with my father that i was making this map. He told me that there may be some issues that would arise from me making this map. So i hope this will help ease the anger if there is any and before it starts.

I wanted to make this map because it represents a major role in WWII. Its my way of giving respect to those who were brutaly murdered by way of symbolizing revenge. <--i hope this sounds right to you guys..-- The map will be american vs germans. THERE WILL BE NO PICTURE OR DEPICTIONS INVOLVING BRUTALITY TOWORDS VICTEMS. However you accept this map will depend on you. Whether or not you get upset or not would be my fault and i would like you to email me if that should happen and let me know what it is that upsets you.

Hmmm im not so sure either. I mean it doesnt offend or upset me personally but im not sure if a game should be made of it, even though you original reasons are very respectful.

Have a look at this site, im sure you have already. Some very good pictures and overal head plans of the main Camp areas, also its good for people who do not know what Auschwits is.

My other thought was that it might be a bit too big, and without prisoners (which you cant put in for obvious reason) might feel way to sparse.

I don't see any problems with this map. But in the end maybe nobody will want to play the German side.
But everyone's got to remember this game and most other games are all about killing even though it is not reality, it is still about blasting the crap out of the other guy. War is hell.
So use your own judgement and good luck in your endeavor.

I have already done some reaserching and beliwvw that i have found the portion that i am going to use. IF ANYONE HAS AN FTP THAT WE COULDUSE FOR CORROBERATION OF THOUGHTS AND PICTURES IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL

I agree with what your all saying but just think about it... this place isnt a place of war.. its a place of terror, torture, mutilation depravitiy etc etc etc....

Beach landings yeah i agree with but a POW Camp... plus one of the worse!

If you look at the pics and think of the sh*t that went on there it actually makes me feel a bit sick..

But at the same time it does have everything a good map needs and a layout already done... in plan anyway...
