I usually get either screams of frustration, or high praise because of my 'creative camping' skills. So I was wondering what the consensus is in the community.

we have a player that has elevated camping to a high art.

If you can't abide camping, better not play.

i think camping is fine as long as it isnt excessive and for long periods of time. if your gonna sit leaning out from behind a wall for the whole match thats crap.

however when i play i usually hold at most walls for a few seconds.

Sure, its not to skillful to aim your Sniper rifle down a hallway, and pick off peeps..

the only time camping is cheap/uncalled for  is in dm, team dm, elim, and offense in inf and demo.  it is called playing proper defense in all other conditions.  People that whine about campers just need to adapt to the game and not mindlessly keep attacking from the same direction with the same tactics.  its called learning from you mistakes, and evolving with the game and scenerios....          

I agree with Supersonic, people that cry camper just aren’t creative enough, or don’t know the map well enough, or can’t win a straight 1v1 once they already know exactly where the camper is…use a grenade. Just kill the camper.  Once you know where someone’s camping time…after time…after time, you really have no excuse not to kill him off.  

Do it for the kill, do it for the fun of it, do it for your score, or do it for the team objective - just do it.

It is a necessary evil, but not allways a particularly effective one.  Especially if used in inappropriate game types.

ACk ofcourse, but I'd call it Defending what SuperSonic describes. Defending is necessary (as mentioned before) and ofcourse the deffer will find the best spot to do so. Ppl just can't stand it when they are shot in the back when running towards the flag without a clue... hehe.

That's pretty much word for word how I would've put it too. Granted it's more or less what I spend %90 of my game doing. But I don't just sit in the same spot. Basically what I usually do is like a move camp move sorta thing. When someone finally figures out where that clickin' noise is coming from it's time to find a new place to be. I just think it's funny that people whine about not being able to hit something that isn't moving.
