I got hired to take care of the shader for the 1,500 textures they have so far.
The idea are great and well built.
It's actually a paid contract, only people that know how to do the job, and really want actually to come on the industry.

*cough* u don't really think u get into the industrie with such stuff do you?

Their website is made up of a series of 350KB 800x600 images, so it is only good at 1024x768 with a broadband connection.  Even then, it is painful to read the text due to a poor choice of font.  I'm sorry, but I don't trust anyone who can't design a good website to design a good game.

From looking at that site, and the forum post made by that guy, i would have to say it doesn't fill me with confidence, and i'd suggest anyone thinking about joining their team to think very carefully about it first.

Not only that, but the way they describe some things makes me wonder if they really know what they are doing. Mods are notoriously hard to keep together working over the internet, and with the added preasure of deadlines, i can only see disaster down the line, though of course, they could always prove me wrong

Also, the screenshot in their screen section seems rather edited, and it looks nothing like the q3 engine. Also, I find it strange that they copyright the term 'Virtual Ride Matrix', yet not the actual title of the game. Looks fishy to me, but I could be wrong.

The web page and the board are only highly temporary...

I got the 8 pages contract at the 1,500 textures pack they have so far, and it's real.

The development doc is 47 pages (15Mb) with graph and all.

They target to have for the E3 a viable demo to present to publisher.

You can easyly imagine that my first point to them was "Take down that ugly web page!"
I asked many many question over 3 days. They answered them all.

Take it like that, it's like a mod or the work you are doing at home freely, but if it works, you will be pay.

They are currently seeking for mapper, modeler/skinner, and mainly coder...

this isn't the first time that people are trying to get some members via money.. but thoose guys definatly aim at persons with lower skills who are a bit naiv.. and want to get into the industrie.. everyone can say if our project get hired u get money if not then not.. thats quite easy..

and thoose 1,5k textures?!?! did they collected all free textures avaiable on the net or what? somehow i really really doubt thoose are any kind of hq textures cause i know how much work goes into making thoose and to make 1,5k texture this will take u very very long time and the joke with the
design doc.. *cough* go to any gamedesign related webside and u find thousand of guys with endless design docs

And the contract is between me, the company, and the guy.
So, he put his name as garanty... You see many people that do that?

Check any records of the company, past games etc.

Also their screens look touched up.
