if theres gonna be a new patch somewere in the future, would it be possible for the programmers to put in some imoshicons like msn and yahoo and all the other progs, i only ask because very one seems to use them and if like me you dont know what they stand for (well i have limited knowledge of them) it can be i right pain in the a*se when your chatting to people .

IMHO Theres enough spam in the game as it is with out seeing smile faces of various sorts flying across the screen. Yes, I use the occasional =P in my game, a lot of people do. But remember, this is a killing game, not a chat room.  

I kinda like the idea, but kinda don't at the same time:

I like the idea because it would make the happyfaces easier to read.

I don't like the idea because it would be distracting (especially if they're animated)  

I don't like the idea because it may degrade performance on some boxen. (If it does you need to trade in that ol' compaq of yours but still, I wouldn't want to discriminate)


But I have been on servers where half the population just like... stopped playing because the conversation was more interesting than the game. I think it's flat out awesome when that happens, adds to the sense of community.

All in all I think it's something that COULD be easily implimented, but there's a fine line between implimenting something and implimenting something well. Honestly I'd rather see the guys at raven spend their time on something more useful. :-)

just say no to simleys

They should make the chat the way it was in SOF1, back then lots of people were busy making 4 line binds, making entire pictures with it. Yeah in SOF2 you can also use them in some servers, but then they dont look as good as in SOF1... and in SOF2 they'd be more annoying because of the text being on the middle of the screen.

well, I thought I had heard dumb ideas before, like instituting a buying system for guns, but then I heard this one. In comparison, the buying system sounds appealing.

Please no.  Don't turn SoF2 into a chat room.

If you want to chat, go idle or whatever in irc.
