I'm useing this tutorial and my .bat file says
Quote
stvoyhm +set fs_game testMod +set sv_pure 0

but I still get this
Quote
Client/Server game mismatch: baseef-1/testmod-1

I followed the tutorial word for word.

If your just compiling game and not cgame, you need to change the GAME_VERSION in game/bg_public.h back to baseef-1

^^^
thats possible but I recommend you use the SP models and correctly edit the animation.cfg files or make the code use them

the MP models dont have as many animations and dont have any decent frames for melee attacks

you can look at all the animations and see if any look decent enough to use for melee combat

my skin tutorial mentions where the animation cfg, its just a text file telling what frames correspond to what animations

use md3view to see the animations, part of the gdk

also look at the player folder for the SP models

the player2 folder is for MP models

the code is documented with comments

I would take a look at all the files and browse through them, after awhile it should be a little clearer, then you can tell what belongs to what, and more how everything is tied together

and hopefully you know C
