I will not mention clans... sites... etc.

Word!   If you all play on one side and the score is lopsided, be grateful people still play you.  I'm gettin' my frags and having fun 'cause I could care less about the score; but people start dropping off... worse yet, you start to rag on the people that play you.

Actually, you should split your players up if you go pub like that so it is a better game.  What fun is it to stick it to unorganized public players by beating them 10-0.

As I said, I am there to have fun; but when you start to out-number the other team... what are you even learning for strategy.  Oh well..... your server... but eventually nobody will join to play you............

i've been on a couple servers like that- and I'm one of the people who 'drop off'.   :;):

team-stacking llamas are boring, I'll find a server where the hosts want a fun game, not a one-sided duck shoot.

I agree with you guys but just to make one point.....if you stick in there at least until the end of the match you may improve and at more important you won't let you teammates down. You can only improve playing better players...even though a Clan team should kick arse (not always the case...hehe). Also another point...look at it from clan members point of view...they need to practice together not always against eachother. :D

ONC members rarely or never team up when playing on public servers.  Personally, I often swap teams to either strengthen the weaker team - sometimes several times per game.  I find no joy playing on a superior team in public.  Much more fun - and more to learn - by f.x. joining a team pinned down in spawn on HK2 and try to help the team break out.

On our own server - things are different. If we are preparing for a match, and we couldn't find someone to PCW with, the server can be open to public and we either invite some good players or ask everybody to join the opposing team.  This way we get to play together - and often against an overwhelming opposing team.  If 5 players can hold their ground against 8-10 good players, we know we have a working tactic.

To quote the SAS: Make your drills bloody battles, and your battles will be bloody drills.

Yes I see ur point... BUT as some1 said, we in the clan (that also pays the server) sometimes need to practice teamplay. And I know it's not very fun to be beaten with 15-0, I play at other clan servers where I'm at the "loser" side sometimes. But it's very challenging ;) Most of the time we play even spread in the teams. But if u join our Jolt Storm server a night when we go together I can promise u a challenge :)

Our server is full 99% of the "prime time" so feel free to leave. Theres normally 2-4 in cue, I notice that when I have to kick my way in the server. Kicking 1 is no use, 2-4 is needed to get in and then u have to be fast :P

I see nothing challenging about one side having 3 more players and leading 10-0.

Of course, if that is the choice of the server then so be it.   if people are lining up for that kind of treatment why would the clan side of the server consistantly have more players?

Anyhow, I posted this for consideration.  If most people think that non-clan types are lining up for abuse, so be it.  In the cycle of games and servers this situation is the norm and it leads to less and less players.  With gold hitting the shelves, I was hoping for a fair open door for more to join.

Personally, I just convert to the auto-shottie and run up my score blasting the clan-ites after they get the flag; but I would rather move across the map with my 74.

There is always UT3, which is getting better and better

while it's certainly fun to be on the same team as your friends in a game, it can also be totally pointless.  how is it helping your skillz to have all the good players on one team thumping a bunch of clueless newbies and maybe 2-3 decent players?  ???

we never 'gang up' on our server except on those occasions when someone suggests an 'ORD vs all' map and the majority agree with it.  Of course, most of us suck so it's never really a slaughter...   :;):

While the folk providing the server can indeed do what they like with it, it's better for the gaming ecosphere if efforts are made to make the game fair and fun for everybody. :)

What i find more annoying is "clans" that join a public server (not there own) and all join one team. Even going as far as jumping ship once there clans team gets an open spot. If its there server, then so be it, they can do what they like as ghey as it may be. Clans that gang up in a public server that they don't own is just plain sad. Although it does make kicking there arse that much more enjoyable.   :D

We do at times like when there's a sof vs. all request. Alot of times we're the ones short. Also when we want to practice a map for cal...rather than tell everyone they have to leave for an hour we've invited them to stay as long as they don't mind switching teams when asked so we can practice on our teamwork.
Otherwise, our server is set to autojoin.
