thx all for respons :)  interesting to read the point of wiews u all have.
im only playning in "publics" as u call it cos our "clan" is only a family related thing actually and we only are enable to play on 2 pc.s at the time. we could play on four with snice-and polarbear.s older sister and hers boyfriend -they also got two copys of the game.

but im fully satisfied with only jumping in on whatever server and just play for fun -GOOOOOOD GAME thx raven
BY THE WAY how much kosts this game in your countries???

here in sweden we buy it for 499 kr. t.makes about 54 $ so its quite expensive by us
-two copys for circa 110 $ allmost ruined me  :s2: so better hawe fun with it :D

On public: CTF. Fast fun, lots of action.
In ClanWars: INF. Great fun when your tactics and teamplay works, but must be CO (Chargers only) rules, or this can also get boring with blue camping too much and takeing too much time.

Yea CTF is great for publics, with all the action. I love playing 1v1 matches against a really good player :) it's one of the biggest challenges you can have, hehe :D

well we still dont have our cable modem back up yet so we play a lot of lan games, we have 3 pc's. and KTMWTB is fantastic for 3 people , the action is not stop and crazy, takes a lot of skill to hold that flag when you have 2 guys coming after you. we usually play on finca cause its small and we wont spend the whole time looking for each other. our lan games have gotten to be so much more fun with the addition of that 3rd computer. im waiting patiently to get our connection back though.,

while im online i always play inf or dem, i only play CTF on the uber servers. i wonder why all you guys are mainly CTF players as i always thought inf and dem took more skill and has more skilled players. earthquake used to have the massive 64 player CTF games and most the time they were full, crazy crazy matches thats fer sure.

They all take different skills really. I'll play absolutely every gametpye. DM is good for running around, movement, and reactions, as well as getting good with all the different weapons. CTF is good for pitting yourself against the odds, and practising playing with teamwork and a lot of running into more than one person, so you have to work on killing people quick as possible. Inf and Dem are great for practising to block rushes, or getting through blockades (CTF good for this too) and also for a bit more strategic play, you can be a bit slower than you have to be on CTF, so it's good for awareness. Elim is the best for learning the maps, and very much the key factor is staying alive and trying to take as many people down with you as possible.

Sometimes you can change the game more with changing the number of players rather than the gametype.

I agree. INF and DEM do require a more skillful approach as a TEAM. Granted if played with a bunch of people only interested in their own personal score it's not as fun. CTF fosters this imo. Too much run 'n' gun. More like dm with an objective. At least on pubs.

Nothing beats a good inf game with voice. Planning strategy, communicating.

Sure, with voice and close friends I can see dem/inf to be the top of the foodchain.  But some of us get our pleasures "where thou list."  CTF is pretty good these days with some quality players out there.  I have been able to convert from freelance to organized play, even without voice.  However, without a close group and voice, any game where you can sit out most of a round is boring... as I see it.
