I have only had the game a couple of hours. I have already encountered a few nOObBashers and I am trying to figure out what they get from all this.

They think they are superior because they had the game first and through practice have become quite good (in some cases).

I don't really mind myself but other people can get quite upset or pissed off with them and I was wondering what you guys think about it.

Ignore them.  What they forget is that they too were a newbie at one point.

Welcome.

Practice long and hard and try not to forget that you too were a newbie at one point….and have fun.

I think I've heard every primary weapon considered nOOb by someone.  There's always something to complain about for some people.

Most 'n00b bashers' aren't that good themselves, or just d!ckheads... ok, if they call you a n00b for team killing accidently a couple of times I can imagine that. Then first try to join a server where team killing is off. If they call you a noob because of the weapons you chose then tell them to go to another level. If they call you a noob for camping, ignore them and if they call you a noob because your score isn't as good as theirs then get some practice and kick their ass next month. :D

These people that like to cry n00b do it to make themselves feel better. Some people have to put others down to build themselves up. Yes, there are weapons that I hate. Its the gun I hate and not the person. I have learned to avoid the wepaon and shoot them before me and make my shot count. If they call you a n00b, just tell them "Ya, well a n00b just killed you!!" :p
As stated before, practice, learn, adn pay them back the best way possible. Come back and whoop em.

welcome to SOF2 and the Raven Boards!

nothing (well ok....somethings) beats logging on to a DM server and kicking with anything, MM1 included (Finca TDM owns for this), but you have to take some flack for it...when you win (ignore, you won, no 2 ways about it)!  Which you will eventually.  It provides great satisfaction and remember to take screenies of all you eventually victories.  It's handy for when you get your butt handed to you....which will happen no matter how good you get.

Thats what /ignore is for.  I always tell people, "Your about to go on /ignore, so you WILL STFU, at least on my computer."  LOL   I love that line.

My only complaint with newbies is that they dont actually look through the MP key options before they get online.  Always painful to watch someone in a DEM map stand there at the X and jump around trying to figure out how to plant it.

Always remember... BIND THAT USE KEY :)

Word bro.....I actually shot a n00b that couldn't plant the bomb, and couldn't drop the bomb for me to plant, just because it was the last point of the match for both teams.  We ended up winning, but the guy was pissed for the TK, understandably.  :s8:

In general, one should treat new joiners respectfully and helpfully.  Naturally, it would be a good thing if the n00b actually did the same - i.e. realized his cluelessness and tried to learn and gather wisdom.  Some jump in and expect to be kings of the game instantly...

My favorite n00bnesses...

1. Asking RTFM questions (ie not bothering to figure out keys and settings before going online).
2. Following team mates (which is a good thing to do), but not leaving them enough room to pull back
3. Shooting or nading at enemies without regard for teammates (TK), and then argue that the teammates ran in front of them and shouldn't have done that.
4. Running when you are walking - stealth? what stealth?
5. After heavy footing around, complain about wallhacks as they get shot every time they go "stomp stomp stomp" around a corner.
6. Starting to whine after being killed for the umpteenth time at their newfound camp spot.
7. Bringing USAS to a Sniper field... or trying to do close range sniping
8. Stopping their team's attack dead in the water with a well placed forward firenade
9. Finally turning to TK as friendlies seems to be much easier to hit.
