I have just reloaded sof2 (deleted left files and register) so no information was left on PC i run xp pro with all updated hardware and software geforce 400, i've update patch 1 and patch 2 and mandown but once i choose a map its starting loading then kick me right out to windows again with jpeg error - this has happened right through, even b4 the patch and mandown - help please

thanks spike i copied missing files from cd - which i thought did the trick but now i get a windows error now asking me if I want to send a report - the annoying thing its nearly loaded up everytime - at least it got past the map stage where it used to stick  

did u run it again to make sure the files are ok now?

i did run it again - having trouble with sof2mp.exe - where windows kicks me back to desktop - i've re-installed patches and mandown but no luck - don't know what to do next !!!

possibly a pb problem

disable pb and play on a non pb server, do u stil lhave the same problem??

if u dont try this:
get the latest version of pb
try increasing the value of pb_sleep
are u running norton antivirus?? or any ati software?

i've update pb - don;t know what you mean by pb sleep - but i have disabled my antivirus when i play sof2 (well i try to play sof2) lol

pb_sleep is a cvar, which suposibly can help with some problems 350 is the default i think, so try it a bit higher

if ur running xp try the compatibility mode for 98

hi, its me again, still no luck i've re-run wiser and it stops on musicandsound.pk3 but when i look on cd (manually copied it over) it was the same size anyway - will I be able to download that file from anywhere - do you think that this could be mine problem

it could be a bad cd, try getting replacements from the shop
