I had 80 ping or less in the server the whole time, and was experiencing no movement lag at all.

I believe its shoddy game design.

People still play single player? hehee Actualy your right htat Columbia was the most difficult portion of SP. I never did much stealth, move fast enough and your harder to hit. Unles its a frag. SP wasn't bad, but MP is the way to go. Hmmm looks as if I'm goin to have to give this VC demo a shot. Sounds like its at least worth the download.
