Ok I'm pissed I have been playing Soldier Of Fortune II since it was released. i'm not sure what going one here but all of a sudden since last week my game crashes back to windows now I have reinstalled the OS which is win2k and the game did all the punk crap updates. I personnal think it's PB cause again I have played this game for months and never crashed on me now i get crashes all the time. I didn't pay $70.00 cnd
for a new coffee coaster. I am very disapointed in ravenssoft to even allow puunk crap to get their hand on my all time favorite game. now all we do is fix it never play it but then again maybe that was the idea so we get ticked off and buy the next big game by ravensoft wake up ravensoft if pb
has anything to do with that next game I won't be buying it nor alot of other people I have talked to online. we are very disapointed with this game that use to be the game of games in my eyes. Personnal i'd rather deal with the aimbot and wall hack cheats cause even with them hack half them suck. I hope you guys wake up an smell the coffee Punk Buster is going to ruin future business for you. do us all a favor release a new patch without PB do the right think make the gamers happy remeber we are your pay check not your boss.
   

I have had quite a bit of negative stuff to say about PB... in fact, I have placed some smack down on Activision about various issues with how the game has been handled.

However, I can honestly say that if you have all of the updates and are using pbweb... well, the game does not crash or lag for me.  I wish more people were playing.... I wish for more servers, maps and a new update with goodies; but (truth be told) PB should not be crashing your rig.

These crashes are mainly due to programs running in the background. Go to www.evenbalance.com. They have a little program linked called enditall which can assist is shutting these down.

Truth be told, PB works fine for 99% of the people. The other 1% have something going on on their end causing problems.
So don't go off on raven for giving us what we wanted. An anticheat program. Without it this game is dead in the water just like any other game.

I agree with you Ramrod.  However, i just went to evenbalance and discovered that a lot of people are crashing while running xp.  I thought that I had messed something up, but I found out that I am not alone.  I am very happy to have an anti cheat element with this game.  With that said, I slowly starting to get irritated with all of the bugs PB brings to the table.  The 1st update was crazy, especially if you don't have a clue about what you are doing.  Now they have the exec. file that makes this even easier.  This took time to develop.  Now I will probably have to wait for another updated fix for the crash phenomea or run in compatibility mode like they suggest.  Moral of my long and boring post:  It is hard to always remain patient and understanding when all you really want to do is play the game and kill people.

when i first had my pb problems, i was quick to say get rid of pb..
but when i went to their site, and read how to fix it (turned out that norten was conflicting with pb).. its fine now
and im happy to have it, i came to sof2 from the delta force games, which were full of cheats
infact i have just come out of a server on df2, which had around 10 guys in there cheating, in a server of 32, and its refreshing to be able to play sof2 without worrying about these.

I suck at this game, to be honest..  but still have great fun playing because of the anti-cheat software

Oh how the young mind thinks do you honestly think pb is doing it's job? First you say its conflicting with Norton that might be true due to when I disable my firewall I don't get a crash well not that I can think of but hey for months I played with that same firewall and never had these problems why should I have to drop my firewall to play a game now? Also hmm isn't pb suppose to stop wallhacks and aim bot well I'll tell you what my sof2 team is an all adult team and we are against aim bot but trust me I have bot's that do get through pb undetected. why do I have these bots you ask proof one day I seen so many cheats on a server I said to myself is this crap working so I went to find the bots myself and low and behold the worked hmm pb works? So I even went one step further and sent all the bots I found to PB doing the right thing for the Solider of Fortune gaming community that was 2 moths ago and guess what they still work. My biggest beef with this whole issue is all this stuff with PB should have been done with the beta testers not after the public release of the game where people are paying for a game that you spend half the time scratching your head over I do that at work with the network don't need to do it when I come home too. Also yes I have looked at PB's web site in the help and the 1% someone talked about earlier seems more like 50% anyways I learned one thing from this whole experience make sure the game I buy have no pb.

Is there probably a bug with the latest update, yes.  Alot of people are crashing back to windows minutes after joining a server.

Instead of coming here and bitching like a little brat, why don't you provide some constructive feedback?  Go to the evenbalance website and let them know you are having a problem.

We all paid the same amount of money for our copies of the game - you are not special.

The difference is, some of us know the good PB does and accept there will be issues sometimes with the updates.  We act maturely about it, and we let others know there is a problem without feeling the need to bash anyone.  We would rather have a solution than a lynching.

People like you seem to think getting angry and childish will get results.  I always took my son outside and spanked his butt when he acted that way.  Maybe your mom or dad should do the same to you.

Your time will be much better spent emailing support@evenbalance.com for help in resolving this matter than acting like a troll here. The sooner they pinpoint the problem the sooner a fix can be made to help everyone having this problem.

Well roo I see your not too intelligent before jumping into a topic with both feet read the posts your tan my ass ROFL. I'm probably as old if not older then you since you mentioned your son and the abuse lol. And honestly guys I'm not here to make a fight over the net just wanted to voice my opinion and my disappointment with a great game gone bad. also the people you mention are XP I run Win2k. sure same kernel so possible. And yes I have tried going to evenbalance one for some reason you cant' register on their forum been waiting still for a password you email them they never reply I no I'm not nasty in the emails. that's why I'm so tick off now "No support". Now also why should I have to start disabling protection to my machine so some packet kiddie can mess around I have never had these problems in the past nothing has been added to the machine or removed this game ran great on here till this update and yes we all did pay the same and no I'm not special but I'm not going to just sit here and let some company feed it too me up the ass either. If you can't understand my frustration then please go to another topic and pay no attention to this old man that remembers days you got what you paid for.
