I recently was told about the SOF Rankings Website. CSSPORTS.NET
Its a Great site to see how you Rank against other players world wide. (According to Gamespy Stats)
Anyway, I've SEEN tons of players while playing "Demolition" give up and NOT even TRY to defuse the bomb against two or Three opposing players.. I figured that they DIDNT WANT TO HURT THERE RANKINGS ON CSPORTS.NET.. Well, I emailed CSPORTS and they report that they DONT RANK ACCORDING to HOW MANY TIMES YOU GET KILLED...they RANK ACCORDING TO HOW MANY KILLS YOU GET AGAINST THE OPPPOSITION..
Hopefully, To all you Demolition Players can Share this knowledge with others...That way we can at least Have players try to defuse once again...

Im curious to find out how the people here rank there.  Last I checked, I was around 11,000 plus or minus a few hunderd for CTF.  Id like to see who ranks the highest on this board, so lets see how you rank, its a good way to back up all the talking that goes on here, wonder where uberfreakjerkhoochie ranks    

Well I guess it depends what Rank you are talking about.

Is it:

Me personally I have good days and bad days but usually end up in the top 1/3 on most servers. Time to short with work and study to take competition that seriously by it would be intresing to see your position, although I access games through ASE more that Lame Sry

I HATE THE WAY THAT SITE LOOKS

I'm about 6000 on the ctf ladder now, I used to be 1200 something but then I joined WY6 and had to start allllllll the way over because of having to add the tag to my name.  

On the inf ladder I was 900-something at one moment but since I hardly play it I don't really have a rank there anymore.

I still don't think these ladders give a good representation of how good people are. I've seen people at the top of csports when they aren't even all THAT good.

So does this only rank you if you play through Gamspy? Thats going to leave a lot of people out since most the people I know HATE Gamespy. Just my opinion tho.

Here are a few answers....
The CS Website has a rather severe Penelty algorithm if you dont play often. (Designed to make a player consistantly play and not just get the Number One rank and then leave for months on end, StILL holding the title)
Also, you dont have use the gamespy browser to still Rank on CS..If its a Public Server which Gamespy sees...it will Rank you. (Even if you connect Without using Gamespy)
I also had the SAME experience Monox had, I got to the 148 position in Demolition, then I joined a Clan and had to add the Tag to my name...Now im at 3,347 !!!
By the way, CS will not compare the stats from your OLD name to your NEW name. You have to Start all over again..

Thanks guys for the info. Now if I could just get to the @#$% webpage I can see where I rank. I'm at work and for some reason I cant find the web page.  
I do know that it should show me as A7ESF and PHX-A7ESF since I just left that clan.
