I cannot start a server now with any map (even those that came with the game). What does pak sum/name missmatch mean and how do i fix this?

From what I can find out there may be one pk3 in there hosing everything up. You might try removing them one at a time and maybe find out which one is killing the server function.

When I get that message, it usually is because I forgot to turn off the pure server option. evidentally you can't have a pure server with custom maps.

I got the same message and removing my custom maps fixed it. I think I was having trouble with a map I got from redsbox.net. The maps I got from there had reds_box in front of the name and it seem like CoD was having trouble loading them.
