Just and update for the serious deviants.  The {.O.Z.} Server now has a majorly new mapcycle which includes a polled list of the best maps of SOFII and six maps created by others that we feel are just worthy of being called maps.

Most every map on the server is CTF with the exception of like two and the competition on the server is insane.  The server is a clean server so if you come to the server to cause trouble you will be banned.  There is no cursing on the server either or you will be banned.

The people whom visit the server are amongst the best players on the net.  So if you think you are up to it come on over.  We enjoy having everyone on the server as long as you are mature and can keep it clean.

The maps that are now included on the server that you need to have in order to play are listed below:

Some of these maps are really big and will take over 30 minutes to get if you come to the server unprepared.  Please make sure you have pb updated as well or the admin on duty will kick you for causing lags.  You can get these maps at http://www.soffiles.com

Hope to see you all on the server.  It usually gets packed after 9 pm EST so if you get there early you might be able to get a slot.

Since I noticed your post here zerologic I just wanted to ask you: I tried to join but I was booted because the admin said I had a$$ in my name. Anyway around that? (Besides changing it, obviously).

I am afraid not and very truly sorry for that.  There are to many people out there using the word a$$ in childish ways.  I guess they seem to think having an obscene/stupid name makes them better players.  You think?  

In any case I am sorry about that, but there is nothing I can do.  In this case it is clear that there are a bunch of bad apples out there.  Silly isn't it.

Well I must say I think censorship is a bad thing. Especially when you are going around shooting heads and limbs off of people and killing them. Not to mention the military is the home of probably the most foul mouths around. Its a strange anomoly that I'm sure is only found in the United States and maybe some dictatorships in the middle east.

Anyways, the guy's name is Glass Cutter. If you people are that childish that he's not allowed to have the name glass, then you guys must freak out when you see windows in game. Ass isn't even a cuss word, plus you have to be 18 to buy the bloody game.

People never cease to amaze me. I think instead of accidently swearing or calling something gay and being banned on the spot, I'll just take care of it myself and abstain from playing with the "l33t" guys.

The biggest irony of this is OzzASSins. They have a$$ in their clan name but "No one can have a$$ in their name."

So what if he filters bad names. It's his server. Is using profanity that big of a deal to you? Does it make you play better?
Unfortunately in this case it banned a non offensive name in the process. Oh well.

Keep in mind that people who do come to the server have the ability to play the game with no gore.  OZ is a place for everyone to play from beginner to the best.  Raven was smart enough to put the gore setting in the game for people of all ages to enjoy the game.  

The OZ server is a place for people to do just that.  Enjoy the game.  Not everyone wants to listen to your foul mouth and since the game does not have a setting for ' moron ' this is the next best thing.
