Hey Guys [withstupid]
(is this post in the right place)?
Right, check this...

I don't know whether this is a bug or not... but Its def. not the motherboard, when playing sof2 I get really frustrated sometimes. I can be playing and if I press 3 keys sim. it cold reboots my comp

This pisses me off If I'm kicking ass, I've emailed Raven 2 weeks ago but no answer...?

My keys are setup for the default ones still, I've kept the default keys... and for example if I press crouch, lean left and strafe left @ the same time the comp gives out a little beep from the PC Speaker then it reboots?

Nobody on SOF2 seems to have this problems only me? Weird ain't it... I'm running XP Pro could it be this?

Cheers guys

it varies, sometimes it can be c,a,w
or it could be c,d,w or c,w,a

just beeps and doesn't even shutdown, just restarts!
I've virus checked and trojan checked and no spyware! Weird ain't it?

Cheers [twoguns]

Very peculiar, however it's nothing to do with your game. The beeps from your BIOS (Basic input/output system) actually do mean things. Check out http://www.amptron.com/html/bios.beepcodes.html . That should help you find the problem easier.

Dude, I found the problem out with a bit of debugging! [withstupid]

It was actually a conflict between DirectX 9+ and the Keyboard I was using.

But now that thats sorted, everyone seems to be having Texture Filtering problems with SOF II!

DirectX 9.0 and the latest NVidia drivers FORCE either Bilinear or Trilinear dependant on what IT wants and not what the user wants, so the user is forced into a 'custom filter' mode on the texturing because SOF II was programmed using the DirectX 8.1 SDK it doesn't know what the hell 9+ is doing, so it lags your framerate by not rendering the textures proper!

Maybe I haven't noticed, but i installed the new directX when I got doom, I have no FPS issues at all...

I know that I had a similar issues when I wasn't loading the MOD first...

since a mod has a seperate CFG file, say you join a OSP server, and set res, and video options, then return to ROC, they will not match, and I'm not sure what/when it "writes" those options to file... So I setup them in my OSP cfg, and start game with...

"C:PROGRA~1SOLDIE~1SoF2MP.EXE" +set fs_game osp

I have been doign this sine I started using OSP, so, maybe that's why I haven't noticed anything...
