Just trying to get an idea of what people use for sniping now.

Took out so many snipers at long distance with my AK.... not all, probably not most either, but enough of them.

AND FOR GODSAKE! WHEN YOU MAKE A HEAD SHOT WITH A SIG HAVE IT KILL THE PERSON!!!!!!!! I'm tired of having like an M4 shoot a person in the head and have their head pop like a 12 year old girls cherry, I mean COMEON! The SIG has a scope doesn't that mean that when you make a focused head shot while using the scope on the SIG it should be a one shot BAM YOUR OUTA HERE CYA LATER FRAG YAH NEXT TIME GETCHA IN THE RESPAWN AREA WITH AN INCENDIARY GRENADE LIKE YOU DID TO MY TEAM LAST TIME YOU (*&#%$#$@@# NOOB BASTARD!

Okay I'll get ahold of myself now... AND PUT A FRIGGEN ZOOM ON THE SCOPE OF THE SIG, EVEN IF IT IS 1 or 2 STEPS IN!!!!!

Please, lose some of the aggro or some children may hear it and think it's 'de rigeur' to be edgy

I popped heads with the Sig, but mostly I needed 2 shots yes. What sux is if you shoot in their head and they fall down from something and kill themselves.

Every weapon, save the MSG, M60, and Silver Talon, take at least two headshots to kill someone. The AK does the most damage leaving you with about 1cm of health, and the M4/MP5/Sig leave you with about 3cm left after headshots. Since they are all pretty inaccurate, and the Sig scope leaves you massively open to counter-sniping as you are moving slowly on a 2D plane (you can't jump) the one which does the most damage is inevitably going to be the best, which is the AK. The M4 is quite good at range though.

Yea you really need a good ping and aim if you want to snipe effectively. The wierd thing about the MSG on some servers is that occasionally it fires after the recoil has taken effect, instead of before, which means you aim about a mile too high. Anyone know if this is a result of lag/bad ping?

i dig the m4 at longe range, i would play huge rmg ctf's and get really long kills with the m4 in single fire mode. usually it seemed like 5 er 6 body shots and they would be down aside from the fact the m203 is very good at long range for clearin crowds. the m4 imo just has the best accuracy and power as far as the weapons without a scope go, plus you dont leave yourself vulnerable when using the scope.
