Doom III is set to be released 6/3/03. So if u want to get anything about 25fps - start saving for the NV30 now.

Well, i'm actually going to buy into some of the hype about the NV30 on it's estimated performance specs. I really do think it'll be a lot better than the 9700.

I think a Ti4600 will handle it also just fine. But who knows. No one really cause its not out yet. And, that crappy bug riden, illegal release was not a good way to judge the final game.

Listen guys, I gave out my specs to ID software tech help in order for them to give me a comment on how DOOM will work on my system. Here is my system: AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.6Ghz CPU GeForce 4 MX420 1024 Mb of DDR RAM Windows XP They said that the final game will work at average performance and they said that I might get about 30-40 frames maximum. I replied that I will not be pleased with that framerate and so they said "all you have to do is to buy a better graphics card and it will run pretty good. They recommended the GeForce 4 Ti4600 and I am saving some money to buy it. The Ti4600 is very powerful and I dont see why it shouldnt handle DOOM3 good enough. So basically you just need a good gfx card like this or the Radeon 9700 to run DOOM3 fine. By the way, dont ever judge a leaked application like the latest DOOM 3 Demo because first of all it was illegally released and most important of all, it wasnt made to run on our systems yet. I bet everybody got crappy framerates with this demo since its not an officially polished demo to run on our systems. So never mind about the performance that you experienced with the leaked demo, wait for the official demo to be released and then consider the facts.

i was pumping all kinds of lead into this zombie thing and my system starting beeping at me. lol. 2 fps. but it was still fun.
