Carmack said that the best system of today would struggle to get 30FPS, that was when the best system would be a P4 2.53Ghz, Ti4600. I recommend you either wait for the NV30/NV35 or get a Radeon9700.

yep the geforce fx is ment to be about 4 times faster than the geforce 4600,
althoguth agp x4 is ment to double the speed of agp x2 but the diference is margonal so who knows till we see some benchmarks

4 times faster? Thats the highest estimate I've heard yet. The most common numbers thrown around are 2 1/2, at most.
