what do you guys think of this game? IS the netcode good? graphics? sound?  I heard there were problems with netcode?  I was thinking of getting it but want some real player comments before i purchase it? slower than sof2 or faster?

It's slower the SOF2. You basicly can't run around and shoot people, you need to crouch or prone to get any accuracy.

The MoH:Spearhead demo was good, better then the first MoH demo. Still SoF2 was way more fun.

On the topic of EA Games, what's wrong with them? There is no blood in their games! Forget the "Teen" rating, give me something mature.

BF1942 has NO aim.  Pretty lame.  I don't want real I want playable.  You walk really slow too.  The netcode is extremely bandwidth intesive.  Servers really get bandwidth eaten by clients.  It is also very cpu intensive on servers.  I guess it's a fun game for a little while, but I just can't play that slow of a game for that long.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is always a good alternative for a little break from SOF2.  Graphics are great and gameplay is fast.  Give that one a try if you're looking for some variety.  IMHO.  

1942 owns.... because of all the stuff you can do. No, its not fast paced like SOF2 whereas you can shoot up people left n right - much of the gunplay is not accurate (rilfes,pistols,etc), but maybe thats the realism side of it. WHo cares, its fun as #### to drop bombs on tanks from above, pilot air craft carriers and submarines, and play with AA artillery. The game is really fun and when you get bored doing one thing, you can do something else.

i've never really played battlefield earth, but have watched my room mate, a co-worker and Freakaloin play it and didn't think to much of it.  lol, i accually thought it was pretty gay.  weeee, look ma, i'm in a plane.  yea....now i'm in a jeep.  screw that!  and yeah, mohaa:spearhead is pretty cool though.  ahhh, mp40...

It's fun for a little while but eventually you get tired of the netcode dicking up your game.  I am hoping the upcoming patch fixes some things.  I'd buy it again for $20, but not for full price.
