This might be whining, but what the heck... im abit frustrated now on the subject "shotgun".

Sometimes i can fire several shots ona player, with only minimum hit and sometimes i dont hit at all, while other times i can HS from longer distances. I have started to use primary weapon on short distances now, just because the shotty are SOO random, it's just about pure luck when u kill someone with it.  

Though i find it weird that some players, which seem to jump ALOT, they kill with HS much more often. So, is it just me? Are there some kind of knowledge when it comes to where i should aim, that i dont know?

And before the rantle starts about my aim... my aim aint that bad  :p

while you would expect a weapon to be less effective when you use it while hopping around like a kangaroo, the pump becomes MORE dangerous.  It's just as accurate as if you're standing still, and getting airborne makes it easier to get headshots.

 just one of the several problems with the pump as currently implimented.  it should be worked into the title of the game somehow, since it's all anyone uses these days. :b

Well, i dont agree that the shotty shoot the same when u stand still and jump.  Try it against a wall, and u'll see the difference, it's more spread when jumping. So jumping shouldnt be giving the advantage as it seems it's doing atm.
The logic just aint there...  Well, anyway, guess it wont be fixed anyway..so i'll just go back to praccing with it...  :s32:

In my opinion:

The best time for shotty use is.......

After you have emptied your M4, AK74, or whatever ammo at your enemy and he is still alive, one turn of my mouse wheel brings up the PUMP, and one shot usually finishes off my enemy.  Killing someone with full health with the shotty is alot harder unless you POINT BLANK them from around a corner.  I REALLY hate those one shot shotty kills that are right in your face. :s27:  :s27:

skill/practice makes any weapon more effective...but the pump is pretty idiot-proof right now.  the basic recipe 'wave gun in general direction of enemy while jumping like your feet are on fire' will get most anyone a frag.   :s6:

That is just client side Impact Prediction, turn Impact Prediction off and the spread doesn't change. Impact Prediction has no effect on where the pellets accually hit.
