did you actually check the forums at rage3d.com? Because they have a fix posted there for most any problem, you just need to find it :p

Hey Willy.

Sry your still having that tearing problem.  I got the same Dell you do pretty much.  The 4400 Dimension with P4 2.0Ghz, 1GBDDRram, and the GeF4Ti4600.  My only complaint with my system is:

When I run 1280x1024, 75hz refreshrate, 75fps cap, everything maxed (Full detail), uncompressed textures, and am logged in a server with 10 or more folks, I start seeing dips in my fps when HEAVY action starts taking place.  I ride at my cap of 75 until HEAVY fighting starts occuring.  Then i dip down to 30-40fps sometimes.  Usually with 8 guys runnin in front of me with smoke and fire nades going off.  As soon as the action 'dies' down a little, I'm back to my 75 cap.

Am I asking to much of my system?  Should I turn down the resolution?  Should I tone down the graphics some?  I would hate to UNMAX anything, the game looks so beautiful on jungle maps, I'd hate to lose any detail.  I put up with my 'action' lows of 30-40 fps cause its a smooth 30-40 fps.  If it was choppy at all, I'd change in an instant.
