After having been in a clan for sometime for BF 1942 (and leaving because I just got completely sick of and fed up with the game), there needs to be some SERIOUS work, IMO, on the game and the way it flows, for me to get excited and/or purchase it again. Just like graphics have been touted for the longest time, lots of vehicles do not equate to a good game. And seeing as how terrible the troop combat was (IMO) in Battlefield, hearing them put more of an emphasis on it in BF:VN makes me skeptical.

wow, N.. I'm surprised to hear that from you. Sounds like you had a rough time in that clan. I'll agree that the expansions for the game were not impressive. However, the game itself, in general, I think was one of the best in my book for about a years time. After that... well, I grow tired of playing any game for too long.

Overrated, overrated, overrated. I just think again, that because of all the vehicles, people just taut it as this pinnacle of gaming. When I could go on about all the things that I think are crap about the game: especially the engine, performance, sound bugs, wonky netcode, terrible weapon balance, ridiculously designed maps (and functions therein)... However, then again, lately, I've just been getting more and more jaded with 'online gaming'. Between people cheating, people acting like total jerks, and people who "practice" the game for 5 hours a day, every day... I find that some casual gaming for enjoyment is a dessert only served when I'm playing with friends (cooperatively, preferred), or offline. Anyway, stay tuned for my review of "Silent Storm" coming soon. ;P

I have to agree with N on this. However I pretty much came to that conclusion within a few hours of playing the game online. Thought it was boring really. Took it back ASAP and haven't looked back. Cheers

I agree that BF is not all it’s talked up to be, but is still an OK game. My opinion even though I love COD MP I still think Tom Clancy games are the sh!t. I'm looking forward to some multiplayer stealth gaming. Also N I totally agree there are many many gamers out there destroying online gaming with cheating. :2guns:
