I created this pole to see how the gaming community feels about our newest weapon against cheaters PB.  I personally have mixed emotions about it.  It catches few cheaters and half of the gamers have bad installs.  I.E. -wont update correctly, too many installs, to many initialisations, ETC.  tell me how you feel

Cheaters will be the problem until programmers make games that FORCE exact file compliance and our computers and lines can handle that kinda info.

And why aren't cheaters a problem anymore? Because punkbuster is keeping the commonly distributed cheats out of the servers. Its stupid to say that now the majority of the cheaters aren't cheating any more that we don't need punkbuster. The moment we take that out, those people will be right back in with them. So actually look at the situation before you comment on it. I'm willing to go through a couple difficulties to be able to enjoy the game more later.

Agreed. It wasn't that big of a hurdle to overcome. Most people are happily playing again...and relatively cheat free.

Well... PB took care of both the cheaters and the whiners. Yes, It has done its job well.

Exactly, PB is here to make it harder for people to cheat, not stop it completely. To assume that that can be done is a bit stupid. But to make it harder to cheat, so that all your effort can be for naught after just a day of using the cheat is pretty good if you ask me. Sure, people will still cheat, but they won't be passing around those cheats, because the more hands that touch it, the more likely it will end up with evenbalance, and thusly be blocked. So the people who program these cheats are going to hold them closer to their chests, which means less people cheating, which is always a good thing. So you can take your overly large expectations and i'll take what i can get and be happy with it.
