the idea behind PB is solid (cheat containment, sorta like how we won the cold war). If they can get their implimentation to work without creating massive community-wide crises every couple of weeks I'll give it an unqualified 'thumbs up'. - g until then i withhold judgement

I think PB's main purpose was to stop warez of the game. I think its second purpose was to stop cheating. I also believe that PB was released WAY to soon in order to combat the warezing of the game. It seems to me it was released with tons of bugs thats causing 'some' people problems. I myself didn't have any problems except for all that "manual" update crap. That was really bothersome to me. Having to go get the update myself because of some bug in the auto-update. PB should have been 100% and virtually bug free before they released it. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do regardless of what people think sometimes. Life is shitty.......alot.

You're correct. It only takes time to get around it...but that means the honest players have that "time" to play without cheats, and when you do finally "get around it", it's updated again and there's more "time" for honest players to play without dealing with cheaters.
