The colorful ones that say 1234 all over them? I made a brush and compiled it, it renders exactly the same as it looks in radiant.

Gotta be there for a reason. [confused]

Im not absolutly sure about this, but they may just be place holders for unfinnished textures.

ie... if you want to use a new wood texture that you haven't included yet, you just put "texture 4" on any surface that will have it, so you dont forget to relace it later.

Again, just a guess.

Good thought but most people do that with a caulk brush, It certainly would have been nice if the tools would have came with a manual, but someone will figure it out eventually.

They were most likely used by the developers. and the numbers are intended as notes to other developers as to what needs to go there or some such thing.

I don't think it was put there for our sake if that is the case.

At least I haven't heard anything otherwise.

On a side note, be thankfull they they at least have an SDK. I've been waiting on Halo's "HEK" sence the PC version came out but it has been delayed so long that Halo II will be out before it.
