Goldrush has a test-server at Jolt... in my last update (#5) i have done a lot to improve RMG for my custom gametypes and the standard ones (including DEM).

I have found a few *great* seeds for each gametype. Strange thing is that i get different maps with the same seed when i start my own server (WinXP, via the SOF2/Goldrush-menus) or when i use those seeds on the Jolt-server... :s29:

How is it possible that one seed gives different results on 2 servers (local and real internet)??

The only thing i can think of is that the Jolt-server is running on Linux and uses the 1.02a patch (sept 24)! Can that be the reason?

And to make things even worse... symetric CTF maps aren't even 100% symetric :s29:

I don't have anything helpful to say either, but I'll pretend I do...

When you created your .instance and .mission files did you base them off 1.01 or 1.02. In 1.02 Raven updated RMG Inf.

Well at least I faked a reaspons...

The instances are 100% sure based on 1.02 but from the missions i am not 100% sure if it is based on 1.01 or 1.02... but it happens to all gametypes, so also the ones that are based on CTF which hasn't changed in 1.02. The modified mission and instance files are in the Goldrush PK3's so the mod (linux or windows) should use these ones and not the ones from standard SOF2...

And it still doesn't explain why i get different results on windows and linux... PK3's are the same, seeds are the same, OS is different. Makes you wonder  :s14:

What was the 1.0 Linux RMG bug? Maybe that has something to do with it...
