I don't know what it is or why it happens but I lately get lag in every server I go in. Even when my ping is something like 45 the game still freezes for like 10 seconds once in a while or the lag is putting me back in places that I was walking through 2 seconds ago. This is really annoying and I saw different people complain about it too. What the h3ll is wrong with this? My internet doesnt show any problems other than this and I have broadband cable. I never changed anything about my internet set-up or tried to tweak anything. I didn't even install any new programs the past week.... so I seriously doubt that the problem is on my end.

I use the ingame browser and until 2 days ago I never really had any problems with lag... except when I wanted to have some real competition when going on the -=SOF=- server which gave me a ping of 170+

If you call these guys then they'll put a gay song for you up which plays 20 times over and then after an hour they finally help you by telling you to format your harddisc and to reinstall everything and after doing that you find out that you still get lag.... been there, done that. Oh wait, they first made me do all kinds of changes that after a while I couldn't even get online anymore, so then I just HAD to reformat my computer.... that bunch of jerks don't even know what they are talking about.

Dont know if this will help or not, but this site will let you know how fast your connection is.

Heh thnx, I didn't know about this site... well this is what it said:

Details

Your raw speed was 499160.04 bits per second which is the same as:

Communications

499.2 kilobits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit Ethernet

Storage

60.9 kilobytes per second
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how file sharing and FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.

1MB file download

16.8 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed.

This should be enough to play SOF2 without lag... running a server will be hard with more than 4 players will be hard cuz my upstream is about 1 fourth of my downstream.

For comparison purposes, I got Comcast digital cable.  They just added service to my area a few months ago, and there arent too many people on yet in the area, so its pretty #### fast.  Id say try running this again in a few hours and see if it varies by much.

Your raw speed was 1710790.47 bits per second which is the same as:

Communications

1.7 megabits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit Ethernet

Storage

208.8 kilobytes per second
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how file sharing and FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.

1MB file download

4.9 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed.

D@mn, your internet is fast... over here a normal consumer can't get anything faster than what I have now and actually I'm happy with the speed. It's not like I download huge files like movies and so anyway... I did try it once but I deleted it without even watching it cuz I don't like to see that on my comp.
