the best new weapon for this game is not a gun at all. its the super deluxe long handled broom stick! NOTHING can stop the powah of the long handled broom stick! Mwahahahah! :s4:

Apoxol said no weapons next patch, because next patch is sof2 gold, which is very soon. But ill make a post about ideas on improving some of the weapons.

As long as we are talking about how SOF2 development is winding down...I think that Raven would have a winner with a SOF3 based closely on SOF2:

- Multiplayer game only - forego the SP game and concentrate on making a great online gaming community.

- Leave the graphics alone, they are great as is and I don't see the point of spending development time on a new engine when the current one is excellent and already has relatively high H/W requirements. If anything, fix the current engine issues, such as clipping.  Maybe add weather effects, such as rain and snow that were in the SP game?

- Keep the current gameplay physics - they are rock solid.  Maybe adjust movement rate based on loadout?

- Add more game modes - would love to see a conquest-like mode as in BF1942.

- Add more weapons.  I don't mean 1 or 2, I'm talking a plethora of guns.  Assault rifles, SMGs, shotguns, snipers, etc.  There are so many variables which determine how effective a weapon is (rate of fire, damage, accuracy, recoil, reload time) surely they can be made different enough but still balanced. Heck, the weapon effectiveness doesn't even have to be that different, as long as the look, feel, and sound of the weapons are unique.  I think half of it is psychological - how many people use the SIG just because it sounds cool?  Of course, for the people who like less weapons, each one could be selectively disabled on servers, perhaps even be replaced with an alternate choice?

- More maps, of course - and run with the random map generator idea.  This is by far the coolest thing about SOF2, it should be exploited for SOF3.

Let's start giving them ideas for the next game, people!
