I've been having several graphical problems lately. I suspect that I just have a bad graphics card, but maybe someone can offer some suggestions. First, I still have the problem where certain spots on the map will have black bars running across when viewed from a distance which can be annoying since I am a sniper. I reinstalled the game, toyed with the graphic settings in the game, but the problem remains. The maps used to never look like that. Another problem is in maps where I am running next to walls. THe walls do not move by smooth, but they look almost like disjointed slides moving by that is now hurting my eyes just watch. I never have noticed it doing that before so it is very strange. Anyone have any ideas?

Make sure you are using the 32bit textures. My old card HATED the Auto or 16bit settings.

Well my card is a 32 MB Visiontek Xtasy Geforce2. I'm not sure on the drivers. I think the next action will be to update them, but I need to find which website to go to.

He can play with a 32MB card if he likes. It will work. I currently play with a 32MB card and I have NO problems. If you play with the settings you can make it work with no problems and descent FPS. The only setting I really changed was that sky and I changed to to Fast so it is completely black. Just me 2 cents.

Just me 2 cents.

Does the description of my problem sound like a bad FPS or refresh rate? Strangely, I notice this problem on certain maps like Raven with the walls, but darker walls like Kam3 seem ok. Maybe I am just being too sensitive here. Most of the time, your eyes are focused on the action, not the walls, but I just seem to notice this all of a sudden. What FPS should I set in the graphic settings of SOF2?

I would say its because its made by Visiontek. I had a card by them, and it was a piece of garbage. They made too many cost/performace tradeoffs on it. Try the drivers first through...
