i was wondering what texture was used for that beam of light coming thru one of the windows, looks nice and could be used for a static search light. anyone know??  :s1:

OT:
Now that there's no more HEAT mod for SOF2, would you release the BofA map? I'd really love to play that.

Actually the Heat mod is back, from what I hear. They even have a new site, for ut2003 anyways. I am not with them though. The Bank of America map is technicaly done. But I was going to redo some of the outside buildings because the r-speeds are twice as much as they should be. I dont think I will release it anytime soon. I plan on rereleasing Plant 72 updated with fixes and extra content. And at the moment I am working on a map of Outpost 31, from the movie The Thing. I will have screenshots of that soon, its looking amazing. :D  And at the same time I am learning the ut2003 editor. So I have my plate full, and no time for BOA right now. Sorry. ???

Is the texture I used on it. It is a cylinder. I also have a couple rays in the 'lobby' area. (room just before you head outside)

Noclip up near the window where that ray of light is coming from. Turn your speakers up.

Yep, UnrealEd takes quite a while to get used to, but now that I am starting to learn stuff the map I am working on, the part that I already finished could be finished in a 5th of the time if I would have known all it's functions. But it's fun as I stumble along, and you should considering doing the same as me ####, I am building the sof2 map I was going to build for heat in unrealed, once I get a good hang of it. Never thought I would actually like unrealed :)

Hey Uni or H.ell, can you point me to some good tuts on ut2k3 mapping? I've been mapping for HL and Q3 engine games for 3 years but UnrealEd is such a radical departure from them, I take one look at the editor and I get scared :) I know I'll need to accquire some 3dsm or Maya skills so I can make my own static meshs but for now I'm just interested in getting the BSP side of things laid down.
BTW Can't wait to see your Thing map H.ell, should be some sublime snow fun :D
