Why does this board always attract the depressed kids?  Or is it just the internet itself?

How old are you, man?  Do you really need to find the woman you're going to marry now?

Don't worry about un-important stuff like that.  It's not worth getting depressed over.  There's so much other crap that could happen, this is not worth it.

So basically, get over it. Things will get better.

(besides, there's always Ginger.  :s20: )

It's called life, bud. Trust me, you don't love her, you're just attracted to her. Believe me, love is the last thing you want at your age. There are millions of good looking women, you're too young to worry about these things, go skating, blow up toilets, do stuff teenagers do, don't do like me and waste yours being smart and getting laid and making pizza. It was okay but the getting laid really caused problems among friends b/c most of my friends never understood it was just sex and so forth and so on.

I think the patheticness comes with the name. I'm in the same boat as you paul, and I think you know that, well, cause I'm talking to you on AIM right now. :s10:

We're both pathetic losers who are in love with girls that have no interest in us. I miss colie a lot, and I know you miss maryann.

Lets go jump off bridges (if there were any around here)

Dude, you're only a loser because you want to be, instead of sitting at the computer bitching about life, go out, meet people, talk to girls and spend time around them, they will like you, trust me. There are people for everyone.

This is me, I look like a loser, but I'm not b/c I refuse to be one, just be social, don't be the kid in the back of the class who never talks and stammers when talking to women.

Good advice.  I'd like to add a bit.

Don't sit around trying to find ways to make them like you.  Poetry, sappy letters, chocolate etc..  it's all an act you put on to get a girls attention.  Once you have it, if there's nothing there to back it up, no substance, you lose.

Try and find ways to make it hard for them to not like you.  Sounds corny but the key here is "self-improvement".  Get fit, get hobbies, get interested stuff and you will end up being interesting to somebody.  One example: get a guitar, learn how to play it, learn how to sing.... you'll be beatin' 'em away with the guitar.  :s25: OK, maybe an exaggeration but I hope you see what I'm saying.

Pork didn't have a date till he was in college.  I was ShyPork but I was out doing stuff.  Mainly i was involved in martial arts - kungfu, judo and Tae Kwon Do.  These are kind of a solitary pursuits but you are learning with others.  When I got to college, I started working out with the Tae Kwon Do club.  I met people, people with the same interests.  Dated some of them too.  Crashed and burned quite a bit. :s14:

When I look back on why things didnt work out right, I always come to the same conclusion - I was not mature enough.  I wasn't a self confident person who knew what he was all about, (maybe they weren't either).  I think as I got older, did more stuff, matured, I now have more to offer someone.  There is some substance there now.

Work on yourself.  Don't look to having a girlfriend as the magic cure that will make you happy.  If you aren't ready, it will make you happy for a week then miserable for years.  Build some substance, the rest will follow.

Depressor, King of the Melencholy, and his round table of Pathetic Sods... would make for a lousy TV movie, I should think.

Don't be depressed.  Think of it this way, at least you're not feeling this way and without the use of your legs.  I'm currently stuck on crutches for the next three days at least.

I agree with Pork on this one guys.  Improve yourselves and you improve your chances.  Don't worry about getting them to like you, because if that's the only reason they do, then you're gonna be working extra hard throughout the whole relationship.

Take it from me, don't write any letters, sappy or otherwise.  I just doesn't help, and it usually causes problems.
