Is it just me or are gamespy the biggest money whores in existence, not only do they have gamespy arcade which is possibly the biggest third party online game finder in the world but they also have roger wilco, fileplanet and a website with more adverts then an hour of MTV. But to take even more of our money we have to register and pay to use their servers which is extortionate. Im probably just ranting but it really pisses me off that i have to sit thro hours of mandatory adverts just to play MoH:AA online. O well..

I agree with you whole-heartidly.

Gamespy sucks. Any game that doesn't have an in-game server browser sucks. Anyone who uses Gamespy Arcade has mental problems. Anyone who uses Fileplanet needs to find a real download site.

I will never buy a game that relies on Gamespy.

The planet Deus Ex forums are great at least.

I use ASE now, it's ten times as good as Gayspy/Lamespy.
RW is ok, tho it does tend to be kinda laggy, and I think there's a registered version of it too.
Fileplanet and all the gameplanets have been taken over by gayspy, which is a shame.
Well, there is a bright side. Just imagine they'd all been taken over by MGon

i truly hate both gamespy AND allseeing eye.

There is a more then decent free alternative called bQuery
it does about the same trick but without the adds or nags or money schemes.
