this is at least the 4th thread on the exact same subject.

oviously know one here knows or they would have replied to one of ur earlier topics 2day

now the other threads are all still on the first page, so why post again.

also it is the weekend threrfore the raven staff are not at work.

if ur topic remains unanswerd after a fewdays and ends up a few pages back then, fine post again, but dont needlessly spam the board it aint helping anyone

all i did to mine was open ports  20100 -20112
for the ip of the machine that is hosting  the server via the netgear  web interface under  advanced /ports

*note you will need to know  the interal ip of the machine you have designated as your server .. it's usually a 192.168.0.x number

i have a netgear rt 314  router  with the updated firmware installed (version 3.25)

it must show in the server lists ...as when i have it up  ppl do join the server

you wont see your server listed in the  in game interface in  internet servers yourself  ..but it will show to others ..as to gamespy  you'll probably have to wait untill  the gamespy master  refreshes   till your server shows there  .. it's not an instant process  and the  gamespy master will have to refresh till your server can even show ..it cant tell your server is there and up and running  till the  gamespy master refreshes ..this usually only happens a few times an hour

and if your other machines are also  behind a nat firewall you wont see your server listed under internet games .. tho it is there   and others do see it

also keep in mind listen servers may not show up at all in the lists    ..dedicated ones will ..but till the raven master and the gamespy master   sync up and  refresh your server should show to other clients  across the internet

your server will show up as a local server tho to you
under local server

since  it is  after all a  local server

make sure you have set the server to run   in dedicated  mode also   by adding

+set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg +set sv_Pure 1

to your command line  also with the 1.02 update ya may wanna  also add
+set sv_Punkbuster  1

or +set sv_pb_enable 1

hmm might  have that a bit wrong  (DOH!;).. read your pb docs    that install with the patch on how to enable  PB and  it's commands :0

Actually, if the router supports the "loopback" function, a server behind it will show in the internet list. Even the Linksys BEFSR41 supports this (though it did not at first).
