I have ATT Broadband, and about 80% of the time i try to play sof2 online, i get 999 ping and the flashing connection icon. The only time i can get good ping is like 10 in the morning, but who the #### plays at that time?? Is there anything i can do about this as i guess it's just a problem of too many people being online at one time? I dont live in a college dorm or anything, but a complex and i think att controls the whole place. Would it even be worth my 10 minutes to call ATT and biscuit eater at them about this??

This happened to me awhile back. I went into my network options and checked that I had broadband checked and it was set back at 33.6. Make sure SOF2 knows that you're on broadband. My pings went from unplayable to godlike with the click of a single checkbox. That's where I'd start, anyway.

go to dslreports.com, click tools, and test your connection. I have ATTbi, and get 1440/240, if yours is a lot lower, or incosistant, go biscuit eater to ATT.

What city do you live in? I to have attbi and have been experiencing problems. Here in minnesota they are doing a lot of upgrades to their backbone and it is causing higher pings. I had the techs out to my house for the fouth time today and they said that it should be reolved in about a month. But who knows, could take longer. He also told me that comcast was going to be taking over within six months. Anyway I suggest you ping your gateway and then run tracert to a few websites and record your results. Then call them if it is high. Keep calling them until it gets resolved.

I get comcast over here in Michigan and it totally sux 4 the price- $40/month for what they call high speed connection. They also offer some kinda super fast cable (what the basic cable service SHOULD BE) for twice the price- but whatta im gonna do, they're the only cable providers in the state. -Gooey

Welcome to Egz land. I haven't played in months because I get pings of 5000ms and up (as reported by All Seeing Eye, 999ms in the game). Cox Cable has at least acknowledged there is a problem, but they don't have a clue. I wish I could pull some monopolistic laws on them. I really want DSL, but no, no one provides to my area... GRRR!
