If your like me... you want to get the best performance from your server.  

Punkbuster has an issue with logging 10004 errors every couple minutes into a file called sv_cheats.log.  I found that this error coming up for people was causing them to spike 999 and out.

PunkBuster knows of this problem and has fixed it.... It is posted on their news page.

To stop these errors from being logged all you have to do is delete your : pbsv.db file from your pb folder and restart your server.

I recommend that every server does this ASAP.  The main PB server will send you the new pbsv.db file when you start your server back up.

Again... I hope this helps everyone with 1.02 Patch.

ps..  If everyone goes to the PB News site... they will tell you up front that they have not removed the hack cheats yet and will be doing so shortly.  Your server will auto-dowload these patches as they come out.  ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY

Delete the data base file, start the server again, then type pb_sv_update in the console. You should recieve a message that new security info or something like that has been recieved.

I just got back online and installed the patch for the first time. It's put my FPS into the toilet at times (19-25 fps on maps I normally get 60-100's). I'd sure love to think this is what's causing it.

My problem is what causes the players to go 999 and lock/lag in the first place? Is what you said just logging it or does it seam to cause the lag out. I followed you instructions and all my internet client still lag out at map changes only now it seams.....
