The shotgun is balanced. Occasionally I'll see a long range shotty kill, but usually unless its two guys with shotguns shooting at each other from that range or a really bad shot with an ak, the shotgun user at long range will lose.
If the shotgun is more powerful in close quarters than an uzi then good! It should be dammit. That's the point of it, and that's why I use it. If I have an ak, and I'm at long range, I'm not going to whip out my uzi over the ak. And if I have an ak, I'm not going to whip out an uzi for close quarters. The aggressive way I play, I find myself in close quarters often so the shotgun works for me. I WILL jump, usually around a corner, or attempting to get an easier head shot. And also so the machine gun user will hit my legs or my body instead of the insta-kill head shot.
Some secondary weapons work better for some people than others. There's nothing wrong with that..
And as far as the accuracy of a shotgun while jumping. There really is little accuracy concerns at all with the shotgun, the pellets spread. you point and shoot and the pellets go that direction. Jumping or no. |

| Quote (Hoho @ Sep. 27 2002, 7:24 pm) | | This is a so stupid discussion. Jumping is overrated. Your talking like jumping and fireing is some uber powerful trick. Why shouldnt someone be able to jump and fire? Why should someone shoot their kneecaps when they jump and fire? Like omg. This isnt some Rainbow 6 game where everything is based on realism. |
You have a point there. |
