Well, I was playing on our server last night and one member of our clan grabbed the briefcase and ran through the airport. When he got near the stairs, he started sliding along - it was ReAllY weird! Not many people noticed at the time - but does this have anything to do with a bug in the new patch?

I've had that a few times with the 1.01 patch, it hasn't happened to me in the 1.02 patch yet.

Yea that happened to me in 1.01 more than a few times, I have NO idea what causes it, but a quick jump seems to solve it, or going up or down any steps/ramp.

It happened to me for the first time ever last night. I was playing on col1. I'd never heard of it, so didn't know what happened. When I died and respawned, it went away.

This happened to me today on one of my linux boxes running 1.02a. At first I thought possibly someone had changed a weird variable, but it quickly went away. Weird...

that's happened to me a few times with all of the patches. I don't know what causes it. I do know if u try to stand on someone u "slide" off of them so maybe there's a bug in the programming and it does with that somehow.

not in 1.02, but 1.01 was pretty slippery. happened to me often, and i alway kinda liked it. in RMG's its cool, cus u zoom around every where. in RMG tho it seems to right itself when i approach my flag.
