It seems when I start my own server to play the new maps on, just me no one else, that it crashes on the new maps, not any of the old ones..... have not tried them all, but 2 new maps I tried, it just quit.... So something is missing.. and my last choice is to remove it all and re-install it !! aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh have to find 1.01, etc.. oh well..... strangest error I have seen for a week |

How would one do that? Since its an auto install program... Install it somewhere else, then move the files?
I think there should be a better fix than that... 1.01 went nice and easy, this has been nothing but trouble... only thing new in my dir was some maps from other people, but I even took them out, no mods for guns,dress,sound,etc....
May give it a shot thanks! |

I'm having the same problem, did a clean install, installed both patches, enabled punkbuster in game, I try to connect and it tells me I need punk buster enabled to play.
Grrrrr.....
Truly frustrating |

According to the http://sof2.ravensoft.com/faq.htm a manual install is performed as following: " 3. What if the file sizes don't match up? Can I do a manual install?Yes, you can do a manual install. If your file sizes don't match up for one or more .pk3 files, for example, you can put CD #1 in your CD-ROM drive, browse the CD and manually copy and paste the files from the CD into the install directory on your hard drive. Do so until your file sizes match those listed above. If your CD is clean and undamaged and the files refuse to copy off the CD without errors, the CD was likely damaged during the duplication process and should be returned to your local game retailer for an exchange. Open the new game after you exchange it in the store to check for the CD key and to see if there is any damage on the new CD." |

Ok found the problem was the update~1.pk3 file problem. Renamed it to update101.pk3 and the punkbuster is working now. I guess the file check works |
