My game still crashes even when using the pb_system 1 command.
I get all sorts of staticky noises and beeps then the screen freezes(have to reset the pc to reboot).
Could it be a sound blaster prob(I have the audigy 2 plat ex)
Tried end it all too.

   
Ok ticked the boxes to enable sof2 multiplayer game and server support in zonealarm-still static and frozen screen.
   

Ok -Looked at the forums a bit more and found that the  nvidia52 drivers are poo for gf4s or less - I have a gf3ti200.

Gonna put the 45.23's back on and pray.

45.23's did the trick.

I so hope your right about the drivers.  I will try setting back the drivers to a previous version and let ya know!!  I messed with it for 7 hours today!!  And will try it tommorow!  

Smasha you rock man!!  The drivers worked!!  BACK IN ACTION AGAIN!!!!

Looks like the 50.xx series of drivers are a big nono for people with gf 4s or less.
The fx people are not so unhappy.

P.S. the latest nvidia driver still has the same issue

I recently got a copy of SOF II, I've patched it up to the latest "Gold" Ver my game works fine in single player, but crashes constantly in multi. I can sometimes get 20secs into the game, but when it crashes the computer freezes totally, and plays bursts of static thru my speakers. I can't Ctrl-Alt-Del or anything, all I can do is reset. Most annoying!! Crashing system info:

P4 2.8Ghz
1GB Ram
Geforce4 TI4800
Creative SB Audigy II
Cable Internet

Any ideas?

Samething happens to me, but only when I try to play on servers with punkbuster enabled. I've tried everything but it won't work. Punkbuster-people says it can depend on my graphics-card(ati mobility radeon 7500) but I don't know since the game runs just fine when playing on non-punkbuster servers....
