Well, it's definitely getting harder to find a semi-fast Inf server for the SoF2 Test these days, the ones that are there (Heart of Europe is a good example in my case) are usually very hard to find open slots for. I also ideally like to play matches that have a minimum of 8 players per side, which rules out a fair number of available servers. As for no servers turning up on the list at all, that's unusual but I think it happened to me for a short time last night as well (I'm using you're searching for "Internet" servers and not "Local" ). @Fragger: Why should it bother anyone if people are still playing the Test? I'm personally not interested in buying SoF2, because it looks like another RTCW to me - addictive MP Test vs boring SP and inferior MP maps in the retail version. Discontinuing the Test will not automatically result in an added sale as far as I'm concerned. |

Inferior maps? Where are you from. Yeah, I like playing the same map over and over. Why not just say "I'm too cheap to buy the game". A perfect example of why there isn't but a map or 2 in a test or demo. |

I'm from the universe where RTCW happened. Beach is a great map, but I couldn't care less about the others. I've read a number of reviews and forum posts which suggest that Shop is the best SoF2 map available in the retail version and that the RMG doesn't really produce satisfying results, which doesn't surprise me as I've never been in favour of the RMG concept in the first place.

What you like or dislike is not important to me, IMO the Shop map is well designed and is still entertaining to play, I don't think I have to be apologetic about that.

Because that would be a lie.
I have no monetary problems that would prevent me from buying all the games I'd want to buy, I'm just not interested in plunking down my cash for SoF2. Over the years I've become more critical towards the quality of content and level of innovation that's provided in games and I can now only be bothered with the few great titles that are out there, I'll leave the OK ones on the store shelf. As far as I'm concerned, only GTA III has rightfully earned my €45 investment so far this year - it will be joined by NOLF2 when it has become available over here in the Netherlands. |
