I'm have almost the same problem.

1: I downloaded the new patch, istalled...the game didn't work. When the game started (mp) i choose a team and the the game crash..
2: in the forum i read that i should try wizer2, i did and sof2 was ok.
3. Someone said that i should try to update my direct x, i did and then the game WORK.
4. I played it 4 a week and the the same problem it's back. Tried averything u have said (pk3 files etc.) but nothing.
When the game crash : Punkbuster client: O current Cvar Violation
Punkbuster client: Receving from Pb server (vo 993w)
I'm not cheating, and i haven't downloaded something.
I play on #sof2.europe #4.

Why did the game work fine 4 a week and the it's the same old problems?

I even reinstalled windows and everything.

Hope 4 some god answers.

I am having trouble. My SOF2 is freezing on the hospital roof. Sometimes it shuts down to windows. I have read all the faq's and tried them. I also downloaded thesof2gold fix. but when i open it says could not initialize installation. file size expected is more than size returned. does anyone have a clue what it all means. Help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! THANKS

Re-download the full SoF2 (not SoF) gold patch from a different location and re-install it.

i got problems too... cant d game b saved???

have u ran out of save slots as u only get a limited number of saves per level depending on difficulty level. select custom and u can set high dificluty with unlimited saves.
