While loading Hong Kong: Lower Docks, SoF2 crashes and brings me to the console screen in windows and blinks at the top: unsupported marker type 0x3y.

I am running a 700mhz celeron, 384 mb ram, GeForce4 MX420 and Windows ME.

Any ideas?

1st Download and run the wiser2 program mentioned in topic clicky above to find out if any files are corrupt.

if you get the error popup look at the file name where program got upto and that's the pk3 it failed on.

With the .pk3 that comes up as Corrupt
Delete it
Run Defrag & Scandisk
Copy it off the CD directly to the SoF2 Base folder

.pk3's are split between the 2 CD's in each ones setup\base dir
CD1 -> models, mp, musicandsound, skins & therest
CD2 -> maps,textures0 & textures 1234

Or if you wish you can just copy all of them

other reasons why files maybe corrupt

CD's/CDR could be:
Damaged
Dirty
Faulty
HD could have errors on it so when pk3 is copied onto part with error pk3 gets screwed up
Also if your CPU is overclocked this may cause problems when copying zipped files.
