Ideas that I've had to kick it off:

- Ask Rick to post it in his .plan file, instructing people to email me about joining. Drawback: I'll get tons of people asking, but I'm thinking of handling it like job apps -- they must show me a web site or point to some mod work that shows they're a mod maker who can contribute to the discussions here.

- Email the sites in the community that I work with and tell them about this and ask them to post it. Same issues as above.

I can always set up a generic raven email address where people can send email to - it would go to a public folder (which you should already have access to Caryn).  If that would work out better than clogging your in-box?

Well... I think we should do something.

The longer we wait the harder it will be I think.

Come on guys, I go out of town for a little while on business and this place falls apart.

We asked someone to set this up for us, the least we could do is *use* it.

We need some fresh blood.

Once Hellchick returns from her vacation, I'll make a .plan update and she'll pester a few web sites to give it some publicity to draw more modders in.

Well, it could be that right now most mod teams are quite mature now, and they have most of the stuff figgured out with the engine they are using.  Maybe we will see more come up as UT 2003 starts to be evaluated for moding.

But either way, some fresh faces can only help.

Regardless of whether you have it all figured out, adnan did start a thread where he talked about what he was doing and the things he did to overcome them.
