HELLO !!  

How are you SOF2 lovers ?!!  Havent seen you in quite a while now, since I started college and work has become a little tougher now so I cant spend mush time chatting and posting.  Fortunately, I have managed to squeeze in a message today (its been about 4 weeks in college now) and I hope you havent forgotten me yet.   Well im sure x90 hasnt because he just mentioned that I was gone    

It feels good to be able to check out some of the posts in here and I can see that most of you are still posting regularly.  Im glad to see that SOF2 is still quite active and still a game that is worth talking about.

Now, I have posted in this thread about consoles just to add a few comments on my part.  As some of you know, The Destroyer is my cousin and I can see that he is still getting flamed at.  Well, I must admit that he must be careful how to place his words and comments in a sentence. For example, the part where he said that "console graphics plain sucks" is a very wrong statement.  Consoles like the PS2 and the Xbox are awesome, especially with fighting games like "Dead or Alive 3".  

The deal is that consoles are not well designed for playing FPS on.  Soldier of Fortune is too much of a complex game for a console.  And Im not talking about the graphics, but Im mainly talking about gameplay.  There arent enough keys on a console to support all the things that you can do in sof2, unless you buy a keyboard and mouse for your particular console.  BUt I still dont think that it is quite appropriate to release a game like SOF2 on a console, its a bit akward in my opinion.  Consoles are designed basically for beat'em up games, racing games and such games that can be represented as "arcade".  It just wouldnt feel right to play SOF2 on a gamepad/joystick since its not an arcady game.

So I say: "keep Soldier of Fortune 2 simply for a PC.....fullstop."  I think Raven agrees with me on this and im sure that it wouldnt be wise to release it for a console, since nobody would be really interested to have SOF2 on a console, its simply not built for it.

I tried to ask some of the computing lecturers in my college to see if computers are available during free time for the use of the internet.......that way I could post regularly in this forum again. But unfortunately, they are very strict about the usage of computers, now that they installed the new PC's (pentium 4's with some really good monitors).  And they wouldnt want us students to use them for any other purpose other than working during lessons.  So they are very cautious about taking care of the new PC's, in that case I couldnt post from college. Oh well, I will try to find time to post some more messages to you guys!

any know of any plans for ps2 keyboard mouse setup???
thast only way i would play console fps.
ive played socom and it is a sweet game but the controls drove me nuts till i got the hang of it.

what are you talking about, PS2 has usb ports. why wait for an offical Sony keyboard and mouse when all you have to do is plug and play.

btw for some reason they dont take advantage of the USB option much at all, socom is not compatable.
