i like the fog and think it's a cool effect for the game.  however, if there was a way to make it so that if you disable the fog, and not be able to see half way across the maps, would be cool though.  oh, and the fact that building would just appear is pretty crappy too.  it would be nice to see them fade in to you.  so if the map has fog disabled everything seems normal and if enabled on same map everything is just foggy.  i like that.

fog is there for a reason, it keeps the game engine from having to draw every sprite on the screen at one time, some of the rmg maps can be demanding, but i agree a server side option to have no fog would be nice, wouldn't it?

there are drivers i think that remove the fog, but that, i believe, is considered cheating as well

The fog effect is very cool, the only thing that bugs me is that i have to wear thermals or something coz i cant see, lol

as weather  we the community   wanted   a no fog cvar  added to multiplayer ..personally  i think it  may help ..but it should be a server side  ONLY cvar  

how they can lock that down  .. i dunno      

i like the fog but i do  know others have  a cvar hack  that can elimnate the fog

just hope 1.02 and punkbuster support will eliminate the cheat no fog .. and   no fog  can become a cvar variable ..that only a server op can set .. again i know i'm wishing a peice  o coal  will be a diamond ...the game rocks with FOG    .. and it rocks on maps that dont have FOG

haveing a  server side  cvar for it may help ..but may also enable the   idiot cvar  hackers to continue  cheating
